TEMPORARY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR

Job Title: Temporary Occupational Therapy Assistant Instructor - Houston Campus

Introduction:
PMI is seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapy professional for a temporary teaching position at our Houston campus. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your expertise and make a significant impact on the next generation of Occupational Therapy Assistants for a defined period.

Share your knowledge in occupational therapy principles, therapeutic modalities, and compassionate care, using our established curriculum and supportive resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans for students, including scheduled activities and materials for the semester.

  • Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and the established curriculum.

  • Monitor student attendance and prepare weekly attendance reports.

  • Maintain student grades by established policies and prepare final grades at the end of the semester.

  • Evaluate students' performance in both curriculum and clinical activities, making necessary provisions to meet learning needs.

  • Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, and practical demonstrations for students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Three (3) years of occupational experience in occupational therapy.

  • Current licensed Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant, credentialed according to Texas state regulations.

  • Documented expertise in teaching responsibility and knowledge of the content delivery method.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.

COMPENSATION & DETAILS

  • Position Type: Temporary

  • Hourly Rate: $31.00 - $38.75 /hour
