Location: Albuquerque, NM On-Campus Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Pay: $48.01 – $62.41 / hour (Based on experience)
Your Mission: Clinical Excellence & Student Mentorship
Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dedicated Clinical Dentist to support our Dental Hygiene Program in Albuquerque. In this vital role, you will provide essential dental services while collaborating with students, instructors, and clinical staff in a dynamic educational environment.
The ideal candidate is a licensed dentist passionate about mentorship, ready to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and eager to help shape the next generation of dental professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Oversight: Provide comprehensive dental services within the dental hygiene clinic and supervise care during medical emergencies.
- Mentorship: Supervise, evaluate, and mentor student dental hygienists and dental assistant externs in clinical practice.
- Diagnostics: Prescribe and oversee radiographic and other diagnostic services per New Mexico State Board regulations.
- Instruction: Provide didactic and/or laboratory instruction as assigned by the Program Director.
- Collaboration: Support clinic operations and participate in clinical meetings and in-service training.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of New Mexico.
- Experience: 3+ years of clinical experience is preferred.
- Leadership: Prior experience in a clinical teaching, supervisory, or mentoring role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency with computer applications.
