Security Guard Position - Campus Safety

Location: Albuquerque Campus

Schedule: Part-time, Monday - Thursday, 3 pm - 7 pm, Friday 7 am - 5 pm (25 hours/week)

Join our dynamic campus security team! As a Campus Security Guard, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of campus grounds, buildings, and parking lots to ensure safety and security

• Monitor and control access points, including building entrances and exits

• Respond professionally to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with campus administration and local law enforcement when necessary

• Identify and address potential safety hazards or suspicious activities

• Document and report security-related incidents according to established protocols

• Exercise sound judgment in handling various situations while following supervisor directives

• Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and visitors

Required Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal abilities

• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergencies

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred

• Must pass a background check (if applicable)

• Physical ability to patrol campus grounds and respond to incidents
