Location: Pima Medical Institute – Las Vegas, NV
Position Type: Part-Time, Flexible hours (20 work hours/week)
Salary Range: $20.80 - $24.96/hour + Competitive Benefits

Join PMI’s Las Vegas campus as a Veterinary Technician Lab Instructor and play a hands-on role in shaping skilled veterinary professionals. Our accelerated program combines classroom learning with real-world lab experience – and we need your expertise to guide students through clinical skills development.
What You’ll Do:
? Lead Hands-On Labs:
Teach essential vet assistant skills: animal restraint, clinical procedures, lab equipment operation
Develop engaging lab scenarios that mirror real veterinary clinic environments
? Support Student Success:
Provide individualized coaching during lab sessions
Track progress through skills checklists and competency evaluations
Collaborate with classroom instructors to reinforce learning
? Maintain Lab Excellence:
Ensure all lab equipment/supplies are stocked and operational
Uphold strict safety and sanitation protocols
Prepare lab materials for each module
? Stay Current:
Participate in quarterly training on new veterinary techniques
Attend local veterinary conferences (CE opportunities provided)
Requirements for Vegas Instructors:
? Nevada Credential: Current CVT, LVT or RVT license in good standing
? Vegas Experience: 3+ years working in Las Vegas veterinary clinics/hospitals
? Education: Associate degree from AVMA CVTEA-accredited program
? Tech Comfort: Proficient with digital records, Microsoft Office, and lab tech
Bonus Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) – huge plus for our diverse student body
Experience with exotic animals (common in Vegas practices)
